About Continuing Education

Certain schools allow registration in Continuing Ed through ProArts. Please read the following sections carefully to determine if you are eligible. 

 

Massachusetts College of Art and Design

Who's Eligible for Enrollment?
MassArt allows faculty and staff  from the ProArts schools to register for classes though Continuing Ed. Undergraduate and graduate students are not eligible to enroll in MassArt Continuing Ed classes through ProArts. 

Cost
Continuing Ed tuition is free for faculty and staff of the Consortium. You are responsible for any course-related costs, such as material or studio fees.   

Available Semesters
Fall, Spring, and Summer courses are open to registration through ProArts. 

How to Enroll
Follow the directions on the cross-registration Application Form. Online registration not an option when enrolling via ProArts.

NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC

Who's Eligible for Enrollment?
NEC allows faculty and staff from the ProArts schools to register for classes though Continuing Ed. Undergraduate and graduate students are not eligible to enroll in NEC Continuing Ed classes through ProArts. However, should they wish to do so, participation is available outside the ProArts Consortium agreement. It should be noted that credits earned through Continuing Education may not be transferable back to the home institution; please consult with the Registrar at your home institution regarding transfer eligibility. If needed, additional course information can be obtained from the NEC’s Continuing Education office.

Cost
Continuing Ed tuition is free for faculty and staff of the Consortium. There is a required registration fee of $40, due at the time of registration. In addition, students are responsible for any course-related materials. 

Available Courses & Ensembles

  • Classes: Any classroom course being offered is eligible for cross-registration
  • Chamber Ensembles: By audition only. To schedule an audition, please contact the SCE Office. Participation must compliment formed ensembles.
  • Jazz Ensembles: By audition only. Participation must compliment formed ensembles.   (Note: Based on the results of the auditions, participants may be required to register for private lessons; these are arranged directly with the School of Continuing Education and are not part of the consortium benefit).

Fall, Spring, and Summer courses are open to registration through ProArts.

How to Enroll
Follow the directions on the cross-registration Application Form. All participants will need to visit the Continuing Education office at NEC. Online registration is not an option when enrolling via ProArts.

School of the Museum of Fine Arts

Who's Eligible for Enrollment?
The SMFA allows faculty and staff from the ProArts schools to register for one class per semester through Continuing Ed. Registrations are accepted on a space-available basis. Priority is given to tuition-paying students. ProArts graduate and undergraduate students are not eligible to enroll in SMFA Continuing Ed classes through ProArts. 

Cost
Continuing Ed tuition is free for faculty and staff of the Consortium. There is a required registration fee of $50. In addition, you are responsible for any course-related costs, such as material or studio fees. 

Available Semesters
Fall, Spring, and Summer courses are open to registration through ProArts. 

How to Enroll
Follow the directions on the cross-registration Application Form. Online registration not an option when enrolling via ProArts.
